Penny Lorenz

Penny Lorenz came to her interest in organs and organ music from her experience as chairperson of the committee to replace the organ at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lynnwood Washington.   The church and organ were destroyed  by an arson fire in 1992.  The result of that work was a magnificent 29-stop mechanical action instrument, built by Martin Pasi.  After the installation of the organ in 1995, she began a recital series, "Trinity Artists at the Organ" which continues to present five recitals each year.  This  led to her work, begun in 1998, as artist manager for three internationally renown organists.

Penny is also a professional bassoonist, a member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and the Auburn Symphony,  and plays regularly with the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera Orchestra, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, as well as other freelance work.   She also plays the baroque bassoon.
